Manga and Anime.

Hello, there!

Right, so I've decided that I'm going to talk about Anime and Manga on here as well as books from now on, since I love them both just as much. If anybody is reading this, I hope you enjoy! :)

For those who don't know what these are this is a quick explanation.

Anime: Japanese Animation, similar but not to be confused with Cartoons. The art, for one is much more detailed and realistic. The story lines are usually for more mature people, as they can have swearing in them and topics about love, violence and tragedies.

Manga: Similar to Comics and Graphic Novels, but again for more mature people. A lot of Anime is based off Manga. They can also be quite difficult to read, instead of reading them left to right as you do most books, a lot of them are read right to left since they were originally Japanese and that is how they read.

A great thing about these two is that you can learn bits of Japanese along the way as sometimes the translators leave Japanese words in and explain them at the side.
First up, is:
Kamisama Hajimemashita! - Comedy, Fantasy, Romance, School Life, Shoujo, Supernatural

(Both an Anime and a Manga)

- Picture is of present Nanami, young Nanami, present Tomoe(Short hair) and past Tomoe(long hair) and young tomoe. Seems strange, but it makes sense after you read the Manga. :) -
This is one of my all time favourite Manga, I'll try not to go into too much detail so I don't spoil it.

"Momozono Nanami’s dad, a man with a penchant for gambling, disappeared after accumulating a huge amount of debt. Thus, she was chased out of her house by the debt collectors. When she met a timid man being chased by a dog, he told her that he’d give her his house. She believed his persuasive talk, but when she went to his house… it turned out to be a shrine. Moreover, a guy with fox ears appeared, which made Nanami even more confused. What will become of homeless and confused Nanami?"

Nanami, the female protagonist, meets Tomoe (Fox-eared guy in the description) who is a shrine familiar, Nanami is told she is the new 'Land God'. And so begins the many random adventures of these two as Nanami tries to improve her power as a the Land God.
This is a brilliant series for anyone who loves a lot of comedy, fair bit of romance and a great story line. I wish I could go into more detail, but just on the off chance someone is reading this, I don't want to spoil it.
